Urban Tango Trio

Machiko Ozawa(violin), Pedro Giraudo(bass), Octavio Brunetti(piano)

Performing both traditional and “Tango Nuevo”

Formed in 2008 in New York City. Three awesomely talented virtuoso musicians (Latin-Grammy winner Octavio Brunetti on piano; Machiko Ozawa, former concertmaster of Orquesta Sinfonica Sinaloa de Las Artes, on violin; and acclaimed composer/arranger Pedro Giraudo on bass). Together they capture the passion and excitement of Argentine tango in a repertoire ranging from traditional favorites, to contemporary interpretations. They have dazzled audiences in New York, Washington DC, South Carolina, Virginia, and Japan.

"an endearing blend of high-powered music-making and coltish enthusiasm"
-The Washington Post(US)

“Their renditions of Piazzolla were superb. . . urban and intelligent, with a splendid rush of musical vigor.”
